RCPEC · Research Capacity & Professional Excellence Committee
Where curiosity becomes contribution.
What we do
RCPEC exists to make research and professional growth a normal part of being a medical student — not a privilege reserved for the few.
We run a full pipeline: a Research Bootcamp that takes members from first principles to their first protocol, mentorship that pairs you with someone who's already been there, AI-in-research and healthcare, systematic-review workshops, ethical-leadership panels, and a project incubator that ships real work to regional and international platforms. The goal isn't to publish for the CV. It's to graduate as a clinician who thinks like a researcher — and a professional who knows how to lead. Where ideals are normalized and competences being internalized through this model of self-regulated learning, social networking, and reflection
Research Bootcamp & Project Incubator
A structured road from research basics to active project — methodology coaching, ethics submissions, mentor matching, and a peer review group that helps you finish what you start.
Global Perspectives & Publication
Joint events with partner universities, international symposia, support for abstract submission and conference travel, and op-eds and explainers that translate research into something policymakers and the public can use. Translating further the Up-To_Date and most demanded skills and concepts by this era to the members themselves.
Professional Excellence Track
Workshops, panels, and discussions on the skills medicine doesn't formally teach: ethical leadership, patient-centered communication, AI literacy, systems thinking, and the modern literacies — digital, financial, cultural, global, evidence-based — that define a 21st-century clinician.
