MEC · Medical Education Committee
Sharper minds. Steadier hands. Better physicians.
What we do
Dedicated to advancing the quality of learning and teaching. We focus on up-to-date approaches to medical education, curriculum awareness, and accreditation- related activities. By creating opportunities for students to actively contribute to educational development, we empower them to become not only better learners but also active participants in shaping the academic environment, leading their journey with andragogy.
MEC exists so no REACT member graduates "qualified but not quite ready." We close the gap between what the lecture hall delivers and what the wards demand — through peer-led teaching, hands-on skills clinics, accreditation and curriculum literacy, learning-theory and AI-in-learning workshops, and senior-to-junior mentorship that turns shared experience into a real competitive advantage. If you want to graduate genuinely capable — and help your peers do the same — this is your committee.
Peer-Assisted Learning Program
A structured pathway that trains students to teach — from ethics and pedagogy to delivery and feedback — covering both curricular support and the topics our curriculum doesn't cover yet.
Clinical Skills
Hands-on workshops on suturing, IV access, ECG reading, and OSCE-style stations — facilitated by senior students and visiting clinicians, designed to make clinical attachments count.
Quality and Socially Accountable Education
Advocating for quality through accreditation campaigns, student-patient-centered education, specialized workshops, and AI-driven learning innovation.
The team
The elected executive body for the current academic year.
