CEC · Community Engagement Committee
Medicine that meets people where they live.
What we do
CEC takes you out of the lecture hall and into the streets, schools, and clinics that need us most. We run public health campaigns on the days the world stops to pay attention — World Cancer Day, Hypertension Day, Mental Health Day, Antibiotic Awareness Week, Mental Health Day, and more — backed by screenings, awareness booths, school visits, and support events for underserved people.
Members build the cultural competence, communication skill, and humanitarian instinct that no exam can test for. By the time you graduate, the white coat will already have done some work.
Inspiration & Support Events
Visits to primary and secondary schools to introduce the next generation to medicine, plus support events for people with disabilities and other underserved communities our healthcare system too often forgets.
Screenings & Outreach
Drives Free blood pressure, blood sugar, and other screening events co-hosted with local clinics and NGOs — the place where awareness meets action.
Awareness Campaigns
Multi-channel public health drives on the world's most-observed days — designed, organized, and delivered by our members, in the language and format the public actually uses.
The team
